 My Name is Brian Fish and I have been teaching the guitar and bass for over nineteen years. I have had the pleasure of teaching 100's of guitarists and have really enjoyed helping them reach their goals. Over the years I taught guitarist and bassists of all ages and skill levels which has helped me gain the experience and knowledge necessary to be an effective teacher. I am constantly looking for ways to improve both my playing and teaching abilities. I studied music at the University of Akron (Jazz Studies) with Dean Newton and Bob Frasier from 1995 -1999. I am currently studying with master guitarist and mentor Tom Hess. Tom is one of the top teachers in the world and with his help I am still learning ways to teach, mentor and coach my students in even more effective ways. I have taught guitar at Western Reserve Music, Barb Kehoe Studios, and Independent Music Services. I have been running my own teaching business for the past 12 years and just recently changed the name of the business to Guitar Lessons Geauga. ​ In addition to teaching I have played rock, blues, and country in many N.E. Ohio bands. In the past I have had the pleasure of playing guitar and singing for Professor C Bass , Switch and The Back Alley Band. I have also played bass for Melanie May and Vernon Trumbull and The Kinsman..I currently play guitar for the Morning Star Church worship band, play guitar for Worship 101, and play bass for modern country band Dry Town. I also perform as a solo finger style guitarist at a variety of venues.
